2. Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how personal data may be processed when you visit techwiredbrains.com or techwiredbrains.dev, or contact Tech.Wired.Brains. using the contact details published on these websites.

3. Information processed when you visit the websites

These are primarily static websites. They do not currently use analytics services, advertising technologies, behavioural profiling or tracking cookies.

Like most internet services, the technical infrastructure serving the websites may process limited connection and security information automatically. This can include IP address, date and time of access, requested resource, HTTP status information, browser or user-agent information, referrer information where supplied by the browser, and technical events generated by the web server, firewall, reverse proxy or content-delivery infrastructure.

These records are used only for service operation, troubleshooting, availability, abuse prevention and information-security purposes.

Tech.Wired.Brains. uses a first-party functional preference cookie named twb_lang. It stores the visitor's explicit language choice (English or Portuguese) so that this choice can be preserved between visits and is not overridden by the automatic country-based language selection. On an initial visit, Cloudflare may provide country information derived from the visitor's network request. Tech.Wired.Brains. uses that country information only to select the initial website language: Portuguese for visitors detected in Portugal and English by default elsewhere. An explicit language choice made by the visitor takes precedence over this automatic selection.

The twb_lang cookie is not used for advertising, behavioural profiling or analytics. Tech.Wired.Brains. does not intentionally deploy advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies.

Cloudflare may set strictly necessary technical or security cookies when required by enabled Cloudflare services, for example to manage traffic, security checks or protection against malicious traffic. These cookies are controlled by Cloudflare and are used only where the relevant service requires them.

Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled on these websites to provide aggregated information about website usage and performance. According to Cloudflare, Web Analytics operates without using cookies and does not collect or use visitors' personal data.

Tech.Wired.Brains. uses this information to understand general website usage and technical performance. It is not used for advertising, cross-site tracking or behavioural profiling.

8. Retention

Technical logs are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting and operational purposes, according to the configuration and security needs of the supporting infrastructure.

Email correspondence is retained for as long as necessary to handle the enquiry and, where relevant, for the duration needed to manage a professional or contractual relationship, resolve disputes, or meet applicable legal obligations. Data that is no longer required is deleted or anonymised where appropriate.

9. Recipients and service infrastructure

Personal data is not sold and is not disclosed for advertising purposes. Technical data may be processed by infrastructure components required to deliver and secure the websites, including Cloudflare services, hosting systems, firewalls, reverse proxies, DNS providers or other network-security services where applicable.

Tech.Wired.Brains. does not intentionally transfer visitor data to third countries for analytics, advertising or profiling. Infrastructure providers or third-party services may process data in accordance with their own infrastructure and applicable transfer mechanisms.

Where an international transfer of personal data requires safeguards under applicable data-protection law, those safeguards will be assessed and implemented as required.
